TPM’s New Category of Chair Fills a Large, Previously Unserved
Patient Care Gap in Healthcare at an Attractive Price Point

Patient Healthcare Benefits

The Care Continuum Chair is designed
for healthcare use.
By providing superior musculoskeletal support, it helps avoid clinical concerns resulting from poor posture and weight distribution. The head, neck, and spinal curve comfort engineering of the Continuum Chair delivers a multi-situational, appropriate seating position, as well as the natural Sit to Stand (STS) transfer protocol.

Optimized Patient and
Staff Experience

The Care Continuum Chair is designed to provide ideal patient seating, optimize entry/exit, simplify transport, improve patient comfort, and improve patient experience and facility perception.

Optimized Patient-Centric Seating,
Transport, and Early Mobility

The Continuum Chair is engineered to ideally interact with the human form to promote
well-being and safety, and to radically improve patient experience and satisfaction.
The Chair reflects the need for ideal neutral posture, long-duration seating, and anatomical support for skeletal, muscular, and tissue loading. The optimized seating “system” provides improved comfort while supporting the user’s spine, organs, and soft tissue.

Optimized Seating Design

The Continuum Chair delivers a multi-situational, appropriate seating position, as well as the natural sit to stand (STS) transfer protocol. It provides an ideal patient transfer from the car to the ER, from the bed to prescribed post-surgery early mobility, or from non-horizontal exchange to an MRI.

Safe Patient Handling
and Early Mobility

The Care Continuum Chair addresses momentum transfer, stabilization, exaggerated trunk flexion, and dominant vertical rise.

Powered assist lift (PAL)

Powered Assist Lift (PAL)

Built-in, Powered Assist Lift (PAL) raises the patient’s center of gravity until it’s centered over the legs, mimicking the biomechanics of standing from a seated position.
Flush to floor footrest

Flush to Floor Footrest

Flush to Floor Footrest during transfer enhances patient safety and may reduce the risk of slips and falls. Promotes patient dignity by eliminating the need to lift the patient’s legs onto a wheelchair footrest.
